Love, the way to true luck

„Is there a principle after which one can direct his whole life? Yes, charity!“ (by hand) with this basic principle Bruno Gröning makes clear his deep, internal attitude. Very often he speaks about this central point of his teaching. „A human being is a creature of Love. What’s created in love can live only in Love. Love is God!“ (by hand) This Love, he emphasizes, a person can take up for himself, i.e. the love of God, for himself and his neighbours, if he concentrates upon God and asks Him for it.

He sees the spreading of Love among people as a guarantee for the development of true peace on earth.

„You should be human to human beings. Love your neighbor like yourself! Don’t be nasty, don’t be false, and don’t do anything bad to anybody. You should all be good, good to each other. You should understand that you belong together, whether poor or rich. (27/08/1949) This is what one can do as a human being, help his fellow human beings“ (...). If everybody did this, then peace on earth would appear again“ (19/09/1950)

Implementing active charity was also a way to true, internal luck for him.

„Dear friends, if you act in a good manner not only with yourselves, but also with your others, this is really true service to God. Then you will receive the wages of God as well. Believe me. Don’t be heartless, but take up many good deeds, take up God`s love in yourselves, then you will be a different person. Then you’ll have no worries and miseries anymore, on the contrary: then you will be a happy, life-affirming person. Then you’ll count yourselves as the happiest human beings (...). How happy is this one or that one, after he saved a life here and there; when he became famous as a lifesaver? What a wonderful feeling this person will have for the rest of his life? (...) For those of you who have already helped somebody else, I ask you, wasn’t it a feeling of happiness for you? Even If you only have given him accommodation, even if you’ve only given someone a chair, that he could not buy himself, or a bed or (...) a piece of clothing. However, it was a real feeling of happiness! (...) but how much nicer it would be, how much bigger could be, I mean;  the feeling of happiness, if you had much more and you can give lots more.

And even bigger luck will come to you if you share it with others. (...) all those cold hearts, dear friends, must be warmed up again. One must say to his neighbor that we are all the same creatures, we are all of us created by One, we all have one single God to whom we belong to and which we have to follow. Humankind has become loveless. And so I have briefly mentioned the war which has brought need and misery. People have become cold-hearted. They have become rough. They go around like its often said (...) about corpses. God doesn’t leave anybody, but people have left God! (...) and, hence, they have become loveless. Hence, they have become cold. Hence, they have thus a cold heart. They have neither the sensitivity, nor the feeling for others. (...) Today the need and the misery is the biggest ever. And now here comes God and calls them. He recalls them; he admonishes them to the Good path. Yes, He reminds them (...) of the Love which he has offered to everybody to take it up now in themselves, (...).“ (10/6/1958
