Gröning’s self-conception
Bruno Gröning formulated his life aim as follows: „I want to lead everybody back again to faith, because every person is a being of nature, every person is a child of God. We have only one father, and this is our Lord God! And because many people have left the faith, I want to lead them back again to faith.“ (01.10.1949)
„I stand in front of human beings only like a signpost which shows them (...) the way again which they have left since millenniums so step by step. (...) whether they decide to keep on this way, is not my matter, this is every persons own thing.“ (29.09.1950)
Bruno Gröning re-emphasised that he feels simply obliged to serve the truth and would have the courage to transmit it bluntly, with words of modern times: „Now here I have the will to lead every person on the good path, but I must tell him the truth.“ However (06.10.1958) He also says: „I don’t know much, I know further only what people don’t know anymore today.“ (Date unknown)
Many people were led by his instructions really to health with concurrent admission of the divine healing power which Bruno Gröning might transmit like a transformer. Obvious this strength ran towards him in special measure, so that he could pass them on like a transformer, according to demand. However, he stressed over and over again: „Not I heal, but it leads the people only to their welfare.“ And he refused every thanks towards his person: „Whom the help has been given, that one should give thanks to Lord God for it, not to the small Gröning. I am nothing, our Lord God is everything!“ (31.08.1949) „I say (...) over and over again (...): Never thank me, we owe God for it. I owe God always for the fact that I may do this that I may (...) serve Him. As you are grateful towards God, I leave this to yourselves.“ (03.10.1958) „They think only that I am further nothing but only your assistant! If they think, my dear friends, that I am further nothing but only a servant of God, what also you can be, if you only want it, if you only do it! And think, my dear friends that I am (...) further nothing but a tool, a tool of God.“ (04.12.1958) „I am and remain a child, I am only a child of God, not more!“ (05.10.1958)
Bruno Gröning rejected strictly every kind of personal cult. „I never had the intention to raise me up , no, I was lifted out only by ill people.“ (01.10.1949) although he pointed to the fact which one should see him only as a helper, there were people who were fanatical towards him and glorified him formally. Therefore, he clarified: „I do not want to be glorified by one single of my people. I am not God, but only divine, how each of my neighbor is!“ (17.10.1955)
His promise: „So God wants, I will help!“ (Date unknown), has come true long ago. Countless healing reports today prove that he further follows this task of helping on a spiritual way from beyond dimensions. Above all his teaching is a landmark on the way to health and internal satisfaction if one takes it really to his heart. Thus his words are to be understood: „Once when I am not any more on this earth, everybody can find out from within to experience help and healing.“ (Date unknown)
