God's bondage, instead of human bondage

As a basic condition Bruno Gröning indicated how to turn back to God as follows:
„He (the human being) has to become a God-listener. He has to come to Divine Guidance, without which there is no life!“ (10/5/1958) Unfortunately many people have come depend on views or opinions of others by which the way to God's bondage was obstructed. Therefore, Bruno Gröning often warned urgently about it. “Friends never be dependent on other people, only on One, as it is also in reality: We and everybody is dependent on God!“ (10/5/1958) „Doesn’t a human being want to be free? But he has been robbed of this, his freedom which God has given him, from people who know nothing; and he has lived only in the faith, believing things have to be in such a way, and has agreed to it. There he has become a human-listener! And, hence, he cannot hear any more what God says to him. And, hence, he did not live any more in Divine Guidance. There he became defenseless, there he became lawless!“ (10/5/1958)

Unfortunately and to the best of our belief this dilemma of human bondage nowadays has also spread in many religions and spiritual movements nowadays. Again there is always some who gives the note, expresses, so to speak, the will of God, and all the others have to follow. He, who does not follow, becomes in most cases an outsider or the black sheep. Many are outlawed, exiled or excluded. A human being is incapacitated by such methods and is robbed of his own decision-making power. Who proceeds in such a subordinate position, will never learn to perceive own divine voice or the conscience in itself and the clear feeling of what is good or bad for him. Therefore, it is a fatal mistake to shuffle off responsibility for ones life! „ Hear in silence to your own conscience. Listen completely switched off to this, your conscience, switched off from the activities around you, switched off from the words around you and switched off from the thoughts around you. Listen and switch off from the activities around you, completely switch off from words around you and switch off from the thoughts around you. Listen within and (...) this voice of your own conscience will answer you. And whatever the answer is, take it as the truth, because your conscience is your soul and your soul is divine, God is in you.“ (October, 1955)

Once in a talk Bruno Gröning asked once people to ask themselves a question. He asked them later whether they had received an answer in their heart. A woman to whom he appealed assented to this. Bruno Gröning was glad about it and stated: „See, you do not need to ask Gröning at all. Everything you need to know is inside you!“ Many contemporary witnesses reported that Bruno Gröning basically didn’t get pleasure from being asked.

Certainly, the way to self-confidence is not always easy. Bruno Gröning said concerning this: „Exercise, I have to say, exercise and practise for your self-confidence!“ (10/5/1958) And he further explained: „Assurance is a God trust!“ (Date unknown) Of course one needs a big amount of courage to lose the fear to take the wrong decisions. Certainly one could also fall flat on ones face now and again. Nevertheless, this is not bad if one is ready to learn from his own mistakes. Only so it will be possible in time to perceive the voice of the heart more and more clearly. One just has to practice this instead of becoming dependent on tarot deck cards, a pendulum, a medium or a guru. Only in this way will become a reality the prayer words „Our Father“: „Lord, Thy will be done!“
